Getting started Members
From DirectChat
Register as a Member
Registration is 100% FREE for everyone who is 18 years or older. The first step to get your FREE member account is to visit our register page and follow all the registration steps.
An active and valid e-mail address is required to get your free member account.
Once you have registered, you will receive an account activation e-mail message.
By following the activation instructions you can ONLY activate your member account, login and complete/personalize your member profile.
My Dashboard
Once you have registered and activated your personal member account you can finally login and be fully active within our Adult Live Webcam community.
Each new member will have an unique member name and personalized e/wallet with a null balance value.
The first screen you will see after a successful login is the "My Dashboard" page. From this page you will have access to all the primary elements of this system.
In this section all the features will be highlighted to give you as a member a better understanding about all its functions.
Mood status
Each member can post an Mood Status. For example when you are in a happy mood you could enter for example: "I'm Happy and ready to make some new friends". This Mood Status (your text) will appear in the "Update component" from all your friends.
Update component
The "Update component" highlights all kinds of activity within the Live Video Chat community. Here you will find a listing of all the activity types:
- Mood status from your friends
- New friendship connections
- When your friends change their profile photos
- When a friend writes a comment on a photo or video
- When a friend posted a new Blog entry
Free Chat component
The "Free Chat component" highlights webcam performers who are actually live and logged in within Free Chat. By clicking on a photo from a webcam performer who is currently in free chat you will be redirected to the webcam performers Free Chat room.
Each registered member can freely enter a "Free Chat room" and interact with the live webcam performer.
New Photos & Videos component
In this component all the new published photos and videos from webcam studios and webcam performers are displayed. By clicking on a photo from a new published photo or video you will be redirected to the photo player OR video on demand player.
New Members component
The "New Members component" displays all the profile photos from new registered members. By clicking on a photo from a new member you will be redirected to his/hers Profile page where you can initiate a friendship request or end an active friendship.
Latest news
The Latest news component is located in the right column.
In this section all platform related news will be published. After clicking on a news item you will be redirected to the news article viewer.
New Blog entries
The new blog entries component displays the three latest blog entries on the platform.
Once you click on a new blog entry you will be redirected to the actual blog entry where you can place like any other member comments.
My Profile page
Each registered Member and Webcam Performer will gets his/her own Profile page. Each Profile page contains the following information:
- Type of member (Regular / VIP / Staff)
- Member name
- Age
- Tags
- Friends
- Remove as friend feature
The following information is only visible for confirmed Friends:
- General information
- Sexuality
- Interests
- Statistics
- Blog entries
- Photos and videos
- Remove as friend feature
Mail Box
Each registered member has its own personal mailbox. The mail system on DirectChat.TV is using an inbound method which means that all the mail communication remains within our platform and uses your personal e-mail address to notify you once you have received a new mail message or someone wants to initiate a friendship request.
From your personal Mail Box you can compose, reply and delete mail messages to all other members and webcam performers.
Make your Vote
Frequently we post Polls where only registered members can place their vote. Each member can vote per active poll once. After voted you will see the actual voting results in your Dashboard > Make your Vote.
From "My Dashboard" you will see an indication if there is a open Poll active.
My Friends
The "My Friends" page shows an alphabetic listing of photos from all your friends (with whom you made a friendship connection).
You can be friends with other members and/or webcam performers on the platform.
My Privates
The "My Privates" page shows you all the privates you ever did with one or more webcam performers on our platform.
You can playback all the private shows only if you have a positive e/wallet value. Start watching "Recorded privates" uses a minimal pay-per-second minute rate.
My Video Clips
Each member can upload maximum 4 video clips which will be displayed in his/hers video clip section.
All user generated and uploaded content (photos and videos) first need to be approved by our administrators before they will be actually published on our platform.
My Photos
Each member can upload 10 photo albums which will be displayed in his/hers photo section. Each photo album can contain maximum 30 photos.
All user generated and uploaded content (photos and videos) first need to be approved by our administrators before they will be actually published on our platform.
My Blogs
Each registered member can post his own blog entries. You can access your Blogs from "My Dashboard > My Blogs"
You can use embedded code (for example YouTube.com code) to embed a Youtube clip in your Blog post. Once you have posted a Blog other members and/or webcam performers can place comments on your blog.
Note: Administrators have all reserved rights to remove Blog posts from members without any notification.
My e-Wallet
All registered members will get their own personal and secured e/wallet. By using your personal e/wallet you will have unlimited access on our live video chat platform and can enjoy all the features.
This Live Adult Webcam community is using a pay-per-second business model where you will be charged for each second you use some of our paid live services. Additional certain areas are only accessible if you have a positive e-Wallet balance value.
You can buy credits in several e/wallet upgrade packages using different safe and secure payment methods.
e-Wallet mainpage
The first page you will see is the "e-Wallet mainpage". On this page you will see the actual status from your e-Wallet, current balance value, total amount spend and last used date.

My Settings
The second part of the "My Control Panel" offers a "My Settings" page where you can change everything concerning your member account on this Live Adult Webcam community platform.
Edit My Profile
In this section you can change the following information related to your Member account:
- General info
- Sexuality
- Interests
- Tags
- Regional Settings
Profile Photo
Using the "Profile Photo" feature you can upload a photo which is attached to your member account and will appear on the front end of our sites.
You can upload a photo and select/crop an area in the uploaded image what should be your member profile picture. Be aware that you have to select and crop twice because your account uses two member profile pictures (different dimensions).
You can only upload photos from the .JPG file format.
Change Password
Using the "Change Password" you can change your password which can be recommended to do it from time till time.
You are required to first enter your old password followed by entering twice your new password.
Password changes are immediate and don't have to be confirmed.
Change e-Mail
Using the "Change e-Mail" you can change your e-mail address where you will receive all e-mail messages and notifications.
You are required to first enter your old e-mail address followed by entering twice your new e-mail address.
After changing your e-mail address you will receive a confirmation e-mail to confirm the e-mail address chance.
Make sure you use an active and valid e-mail address because otherwise you can't login.
Change Notifications
This Live Adult Webcam community platform uses e-mail notification when someone writes you a personal mail message, wants to be a friend, placed photo comments on your picture or request for support.
